My relationship with Tim Burton deteriorated years ago and I had actually entered a new phase in my life where I actively disliked Tim Burton and regarded him as nothing more than a soulless money-grabber/horrible adapter of preexisting works with unresolved romantic feelings for Johnny Depp. But Dark Shadows looks like a ton of fun and I have watched the trailer three times already.

Except then it turned out to be everything that I hoped it wouldn’t be and I was superbly disappointed in it, and myself, for ever watching it.
